In my previous posts about my new workbench, some of y’all noticed my “freedom cabinet” as I call it and wanted a tour. My other main hobby involves heavy things that contain lots of lead… Storage has always been an issue… Once I discovered these cabinets with the drawers that will hold several hundred pounds I was excited to get one. So far, it’s lived up to its billing… Especially since I found one already decorated.
And for those of you who live in states where this is prohibited… Just look the other way[emoji1750]

In Jersey...the authorities would probably put me on a list if I had that amount of ammo..."retreat until dead"... :eyeroll:

Loving your setup!

LOL, I love it!

That is too cool! I really dig the labels on the drawers. I suspected as much when I saw your method of weighting the counter.

Do you want to store my **** while I move to California in the next few months? I'll be back in 3-5 years....

:)

Yeah, I'm an idiot.....

That is great! I have an Ammo Can but that thing is much more functional so you don't have to dig around inside.

That’s awesome and I love the paint job.

I’ve been looking for a better way to store then Ammo cans.

I’ll have to keep an eye out on the DRMO auctions as vidmars go up frequently.

Nice cabinet.... And a very respectable stockpile. I've consolidated to 5 calibers finally.... Well technically six, just picked up an M1 carbine and building up for that now too.... It never ends

What? No .44 magnum drawer?

Let's see now...

.22
.38 Special/.357 Magnum
9mm
.45 ACP
.44 magnum/.500 S & W Magnum
.308
.223/5.56

Yeah I can make that work.

FYI, the second picture shows a white decal in the upper portion of the housing. That decal shows original sales order number, line item of the order it was on, housing model number, color code, key code and manufacture date.

I would love to have that cabinet... for the same use.

Can't seem to find it anywhere! You might have a one of a kind!

Does ammo ever go bad? A quick search says that the powder can loose potency over time. How quick are you going through that stock-pile at the range? More or less; what's your turnover? Or do you keep it in well controlled enough conditions that aging/humidity are not a factor?

I'm rather ignorant about guns. I find them fascinating, but shooting them and owning them doesn't do much for me. I'm more enamored with the mechanisms themselves.

Ammo kept dry, will last indefinitely, particularity newer powder formulations. If there is any influence by age, it will take years if not decades.
