Never seen these before, going to pick up a few from a seller who just bought an old tool store warehouse, said he has 8000 brand new. LOVE THE GREEN CANDY HANDLES! :bounce:

Yeah, a photo of 8000 of those would be impressive.

They're probably late 1980s or 1990s vintage. The packaging looks like that vintage anyway.

Workmaster screwdrivers were introduced by Stanley around 1970, and the early ones had dark smoked gray handles with yellow bands, like so:

I bought those two in 1978, and I guess 34 years is proof they're durable. :)

The handles have triangular grips. I really prefer square grips like old Snap-On, Par-X or Proto. The Workmaster grips aren't bad, but you should try it to see if you like it or not.

LOL. He wants $80 for 100 or $4500 for 5000.

Are they all the same screwdriver or differnt styles (flat tip/phillips)?

Buy a couple hundred, I'm sure you could sell them here, if they were in sets I'd pay you $2.00 for a driver you paid $.80 for.

$80/100 or $4500/5000.
So the more you buy, the more they cost?
That doesn't make any sense.

Quite right.

The original posted price was actually:

1000- $1,000
5000- $4,500

He'll consider offers (of course) so if the OP was offered 100 for $80, I'm sure a larger amount would receive an even larger discount...

I also believe they will all be identical slotted drivers,

A second subsequent ad now says he's got 5000 so he's either sold off a pallet or two of the things to another wholesaler or there is a difficult-to-explain demand for slotted screwdrivers! I mean, who doesn't have a drawer full of slotted drivers already?

The handles on those screwdrivers were great - very comfortable, I like them better than the ergonomic ones they sell nowadays.
