I have a Stant ST 255 cooling system tester. It don't work no more. I have oiled the pizz out of the innards thru the oil hole and still nothing.
I did get out of fixing cars for a few years and it sat, it used to work when I used it fairly regularly. now I have needed it a lot and have to always go borrow a co worker's.
I see they sell an ST 270 now, one of my co workers has that one, I see the differences mainly the way to release the pressure when finished. but that's on the adapter that goes to the radiator not within the pump itself. I also see that Stant offers parts for the 270 but nothing for the 255, the repair kit for the 270 says it only fits a 270,
so is this 255 junk, then? I'd like to rebuild it if possible instead of buying a new one.
