Stapler for cable wires

I need to run some coax wires and about the only way to do it is to run it exposed on the drywall. Was thinking to pick up a stapler to secure the wire to the drywall. Anyone use one of these before and can recommend one?

I have a cabletacker. The staples will not stick in drywall, I've tried.

When i worked for Comcast Cable we generally used the cable clips more than the stapler but either works

If you have base board I would recommend pulling it and running the cable behind.

We stopped using the staplers 20 years ago because over time it will damage the cable.

If you have to run exposed (No base) then think about wiremold, nice clean look and it can be painted to match any surface.

or depending on your situation, you can buy/use self stick channels to run along the walls. they sell different kinds and sizes in HD or lowes.

It's called race way. I used on my concrete basement wall when I hung the TV. Sticks to the wall and has a removable cover to run the wire through. The nose popular brand is wiremold. It's kinda like how everyone calls a bandage band aid. A lot of people call it wiremold.

You need cable clips, our company hasn't used staples in over 20 years. Staples can change the cables impedance and cause issues. We use clips like these from Lowes. Can be used in dry wall with small anchors. Also use good wire and connectors, you would be surprised how much unwanted noise can be sucked in from poor connections.

I use the Plastic Version (there is a Metal Version also) to run all my Low Voltage wiring through for my under and Over Cabinet lighting in.
Cuts easily to any size and is Paint-able to match any service. and has a Peal n Stick strip.

Plastic anchors are fine, 16"-24" apart pull wire snug before the final turning of the screw.

They make a pretty nice plastic version too. It will look a lot better than staples and exposed wire.

I use those flexclips too when I remember to get more. Now I have the nail in ones but I greatly prefer the screw in flex clips to the nail kinds.

Either following studs with wood screws or if you need to usedrywall screws you can remove their included screws and use longer ones as needed.
