Sorting through a toolbox full of drill bits I put together a decent collection of these. Apparently it’s a masonry drill system with removable/replaceable bits. Anybody into these? Any worth?

We used those when I worked at NWB in Omaha in the early 70s. Punched many a small hole for an anchor to hang a telephone on a wooden backboard on a block or cement wall. Hammer drills were pretty hard to come by back then for an ordinary install or a repair job. By the way if you use it make sure you turn it every couple of hammer blows or it gets stuck in that position and then you've got a mess

These belong the my wife’s grandpa, who retired in the 90’s after a long career with ADT. I myself have my grandfathers star chisels he used to hang mirrors while working at a glass company in the early 50’s.

I spent a couple of years banging one of these as an apprentice electrician - putting threaded pipe back in the wall and installing hangars for conduit.

They are used by rock climbers to put anchors in for new routes when climbing. Search rock climbing anchor drill.
To me I'd rather carry a full size battery drill up a wall than bang on one of these for 5 minutes at a time!
