My box of starlink stuff came today. Think im going to have to put it on the roof at the peak in order to find some sky. Wonder if I can zip tie it to my over head power line. or run a separate cable a foot or so away.

My house is on about a 1 acre hill. About 80 feet from the house is a shop with 16 foot side walls I did the phone test all along the gable end of the shop and got 99% it's really my best access to the northern sky without a major logging operation. I'm thinking of running the wire overhead under the triplex electric line. Or install it in the shop and some how extend it to the house.

Your best solution would probably be to install Starlink at the house and then just run an Ethernet cable or fiber to the shop and then into an access point.

Cleanest, professional way to do this and you're not touching the triplex.

The initial position to mount my dishy selected using the phone app was really inconvenient. I decided to just try a convenient spot that the app indicated was obstructed and it has worked great. If you have such a site, just hook it up temporarily and do a test.

This was at a friends house. I welded up the short mast to gain a bit of height. Bolted to the gable end it has been there 2 yrs with no problem. He too is in the woods. This made a difference in his reception. Can’t find the pic of my previous house with SL. On that one I used the frame of the direct TV antenna and put a mast off of it. Both worked well

Mount Starlink dish at the best location (house or shop) then do direct bury fibre or ethernet to your other location.

This is our camp setup, using 2" and 1 1/2" EMT conduit to telescope up. Thread is here: https://www.garagejournal.com/forum...t-access-using-tplink-omada-mesh-wifi.515777/

Honestly, the phone app isn't very accurate. I've done two installs now where the app said I would have obstructions, but the starlink once installed says there are none.
I would recommend trying a temp install where it is the most convenient (with a decent view of the sky) then see how it works over a few days.

100%...fire it up in a few locations if you don't have a wide open north sky exposure. Power it up in each location for a few hours, then check the actual obstruction data in the app. Do this before you do anything else! I wish I had followed this process first, before putting holes through shingles etc.

There have been firmware updates/improvements so some smaller issues at the periphery may not be problematic.
