That's not bad. I paid $6800 for a 20x30 and my slab is 4" (Not 6) and my frost wall is 48" (Not 6').

I did 3 walls with footings, and 54" walls and a 6-7" floor, just the concrete work was close to $9k... this was for a 36x36 (27 yards in the floor)

so I think that's not a bad deal with all the mesh etc.. also in MA

Yeah, pretty good deal. I did everything myself about the same size. I spent about $4,500 - $5,000

Not too bad at all. I paid $6800 for just about the same thing... 6ft walls, 6" x 18" footer, 24 x 30 with 5" pad. BUT, there was a lot of drama in getting that price. I was getting quotes for $10K - $12K with excavating. I ended up using three different guys for just the foundation work.

I think that's a fair price... get it in writing and check references! Good luck to you.

That does sound like a fair price and it sounds like he is covering all the major points....

But you might want to ask about dirt....when the dig it out, you end with a bunch of left over dirt....the well experienced contractors will tell you what they are doing with the dirt....which in most cases reads "Home owner responsible for left over dirt removal".

I'll have to ask about removing extra gravel. This is why I like it here my mind is running in circles I would have never thought to ask that question. Thanks everyone.
I just sent the engineered plans to three contractors, so I should be hearing from them soon. If there's anything I'm not thinking of please let me know.
Thanks again.
