Moved into this house last year, finally getting around to setting up my shop. I'm currently renting a barn about 10 miles away, and I'm sick of driving there to work on stuff, and not having tools around the house.
Here is the garage when we moved in.
A few weeks ago we applied Epoxy Coat floor coating. During the spring I also painted the walls a fresh coat of white, and put block sealer half way down the wall because the walls are about 3 feet under ground.
On Sunday we re-did the existing 220 line, and added two 50 amp outlets. One will be for the air compressor, and one for whatever welder or plasma cutter I'm using.
Yesterday I drug over my 1950 Westinghouse Air Brake air compressor. It's 80 gallon, 220 volt, twin stage. Compressor is from an actual train. Its slow to fill, but I run it at 160PSI tank pressure.
The garage was already fully plumbed for shop-air, inside and outside when we moved in. Just have to hook the compressor to the existing lines, and add new fittings (last owners robbed them all, wtf?)
