Looks like a nice start! Good idea to make it temporary ... I'd love to have a separate spray room but for the limited use I couldn't justify it.

What are you going to cover the walls with? What are the plans for lighting and ventilation?

Drywall and 12-15 light fixtures. -MATT

After I put that up I thought about that. Why not just hang some tarps from the cieling ? Lots cheaper and quicker.

I have a few cars to paint so I need something that will work well. I'm already stressing over a dirty shop but hey its time to get messy! -MATT

OK,I painted in a tarped off booth for almost 20 yrs, just changed the tarps a couple times a year. I was spraying hot varnish on wood boats too some of the time, the rest was acrylic lacquer and urathane clear coats., the varnish was really dirt sensitive and no buffing allowed.

Matt: Have you thought about just covering the sides and top with visqueen and hanging a few 4 ft flourscent lights in it? These would be cheaper than the drywall you mentioned and hopefully you used screws for the construction so you can just disassemble the corners and leave the verticle walls seperate and be much easier to store when not in use.

I would cover it with clear poly to get all the natural light in.Tape the joints then hook up the ventilation to pull out of it and vent outside. I have been thinking of building something similar to use outside.

I also have a tin ceiling and really like it. Easy to clean.

Sorry to drift off the topic of your paint room, but are you happy with the steel ceiling you installed? Would you do anything differently with the ceiling?

Love the tin ceiling. Very easy to install! Little pricey but no tape mud paint. -MATT
