Starter Toolboxes

Yeah, i have a speed square but rarely touch it. I always reach for the combination square or 6" machinists square. I suppose if I was building houses I would find it more useful.

What will he use a speed square for? I use one at work daily but only once at home installing new flooring

Cutting lumber square with a small saw. ( as a fence )

That seems like a lot to me. For a young man (or woman) living in an apartment, I think a tool set should fit in an 18" toolbox, plus maybe a drill and socket set. You'll have a lifetime to buy them tools if they start to use them a lot.

I don't store mine in the toolbox... it's kept warm in my shirt pocket each morning. You never know when you need to measure with accuracy by using a wonderful unit of measure
