Traded an extra large 1-topping pizza for this today at work. My first Kennedy box, always loved them. What color scheme you think I should do? One color or two tone? Thinking of some 50's or 60's retro color. Any idea on where to get a Kennedy logo or vintage sticker?

**Added some more before pics**

Crazy to think that when I took these I had already been removing corrosion for 45 minutes during my lunch break.

Got most of the surface stuff off. Washed with clean soapy water, when it dries im going to put on some Corrosion-X before I get at the deep stuff. Overall it's in much better shape than I thought it would be. Only going to have to do some light patching on the RH side.

I'm thinking that the box would look great in the metallic blue that Huot used on their box back in the '60s. Turquois would also look good. That looks like a great project.

Whatever you do, please do NOT apply **** brown wrinkle paint to it. That box deserves better.

+1 on unique color . . . . blue or retro green.

Is that airplane in background that "welder guy" is working on ??

Yea, but he's not welding it LOL. His primary trade is welding, but these days he's an A/C mechanic by day and instructs welding classes two nights a week. The company he worked for took a nose dive a few years ago and started working on airplanes until he found something. Ended up liking it and got comfortable, haha.

Thanks! Yeah, I always loved the looks of the Kennedy boxes but never had the opportunity to get one. It kind of just fell on my lap, haha.

Hopefully I don't screw it up, I really can't paint for ****. Gonna take my time with this one.
