Sounds interesting, can't wait to see the trim. You get a 'you ****' for adding a 40" flat screen. Trying to decide if and where I can add a small screen in my garage layout.

Here is a prototype of the trim I am making.... trying to decide if I want 3 rows of louvers instead of 2 or if spacing needs to be tighter?? Do I want wider red stripes? hmmmmm? What do you guys think?

Trim looking good as you photo'd it. Love the red stripes. I would be tempted to reflect that trim style in some way on the man door.

Sounds good! Going to start making the trim tomorrow and my last cabinet should be delivered.....

You wanna talk about trim, still working on the 780 linear feet I am installing. Notice the oak trim around the doors that needs sanded and painted. Taking next week off to put this project to bed.

Working on some trim at work out of aluminum to separate the two colors with hot rod louvers punched in them...
edit: hmm your quoted picture didn't show up ? ?

Since you are using Gladiator cabinets, I'd suggest adding some aluminum diamond plate on the riser/kick plate for the stairs.

I think the louvers would better with three rather than two, three will fill out the trim better.

Very unique custom trim. Any details your willing to share?

The trim is made out .050 aluminum pre painted black and then louvers punched on a Turret press and then bent on a brake here at my work, we manufacture scoreboards. Then I hung them with a joggle system so there are no fasteners showing...... I'll post a end view of trim and joggle later when I get home.

Definitely one of the coolest details I've seen on this forum.

The trim is cool and unique, what purpose do the louvers serve, just design/detail?

No purpose just detail..........I always like the louvered hoods on Hot rods so thought why not...... plus we have the louver punch here, we use it for ventilation on the backs of scoreboards.

The first thing I thought of when I saw the louvers were LED's behind them! My folks have that type of cover for stairwell lighting, but bigger. I think it would be super cool around the shop! Trim looks great, too. As does the paint!
