Did a search and it seems that most people just hose down their floors with a pressure washer and degreaser. I am not really wanting to pressure wash my auto repair shop because I have equipment everywhere. I have supra tile on the floors, which I've decided was a mistake, more on that later. Anyhow, at the end of the week there is a fair bit of oil and grease on the floor. I spent today cleaning up the shop and some of the grease from chassis parts etc is pretty tough to get off without some serious hand mopping and an abrasive pad. Brake clean will cut it quick but as we know that's not an affordable option to clean a large floor with brake clean on a regular basis. I am pretty cognizant of cleaning up grease and oil quickly but the hired help isn't so interested. Id rather keep him turning wrenches to make money and I could do it before or after hours.
So, I was thinking that perhaps a steam cleaner of sorts that I could just hit the floors weekly with could be a good option. Anyone have experience with this? If so, any recommendations of machines? I am not sure it would work but if so it sure would be quicker.
