Finally a subject in my area of expertise. A hot water pressure washer is the best way to clean grease/oil off motors, frames, garage floors ect. I've been selling them for 25 years. They are not always the easiest things to repair if you don't understand how they work. Now I'm sure your thinking its just a pump, heard that alot over the years from experienced truck and heavey epuipment mechanics, but they always seem to call me after they have given up trying to fix it themselves and often times it is not even a pump problem.
If you can buy it cheap, go for it and I can help you trouble shoot it. JUst don't tear into it first without contacting me, I can probably save you time and money. Just like any repair job, there is a proper trouble shooting order to follow.

Hey man, thanks alot! If I get it, I sure will get back with you on this. I remember back in the 70s, guys had they're motors steam cleaned, and they sure loooked sweet. Then, I haven't heard anything about those cleaners in so many years. Seems like a tool maybe we should all have in our garages.

Just be careful what you spray under the hood 
I detail the hell out of the engine compartment in my cars but without steam. If I had a good steam pressure washer I'd use it often. Hope you get the machine running!
A clean engine really makes an impression on people. I took my taurus in to get an alignment a while ago and the mechanic popped the hood to do a routine inspection and came out of the shop to comment on how clean the car was kept. I detail that car and I don't even like it haha, I am just a firm believer in keeping everything in as good condition as possible. I use an assortment of brushes for detailing the engine, but a steam cleaner would make quick work of it. Let us know when you get it working

Which are we talking about here, a pressure washer or a steam cleaner?
I've been thinking about this little steamer for a bit, and avoiding something like the pressure washer. The steamer is slow, small areas at a time, but a well respected tool among detailers. The pressure washer I think in general would just get me into trouble, and when I need something like it, a trip through a DIY car wash should work.
