Anyone know of a replacement air fitting like this one that was offered by Stedlin? They are out of business. This fitting releases the air slowly when you disconnect it rather than a large/loud burst of air.

I have the same problem. I like my Milton V fittings except the blast of air is loud and dangerous. I was going to get Stedlins for the new shop and was dismayed to hear they went under.

Right now I'm planning on Milton S-1750s. But I have not used them yet so I don't know how well they work or how durable they are.

I have the Milton s-1750 couplers which work good, just trying to find the tool side/other end of air line fitting like the pic above that releases slowly, if there is such a thing out there? I wish I knew they were going out of business I would have bought 50 of them LOL.

I use the Husky pushbutton quick disconnects you can get at Home Depot. First press releases the air out a small hole on the side. Second press releases the fitting.

I have two of these hanging outdoors year round (under overhangs), and I get about 2-3 years per fitting before they start to act up.

They're not high flow, and they're not as easy insertion as Stedlin, but they are at least safe. For the two tools I have that these seem to restrict on airflow, I use a 3/8" QD that I don't feel comfortable breaking under pressure.
