Hello, new to the forum, came across this site while searching for cabinet ideas.

I have a 48x70 pole barn and instead of shelves I wanted to put up cabinets for a cleaner look for my stuff. As I search, one mfg leads to another and I get overwhelmed. I was looking for feedback from those who have gone through this before.

I am definitely on a budget, but would like metal cabinets. I have seen so many types, but am unsure what the quality is, how they perform, etc.

Can anyone give me advice on what they found to work for them? I would appreciate any input. Thanks. Eric

If you are on a budget - look for used office stuff - it WILL handle heavy load and last a long time. In the past few months I've been buying metal cabinets for my relocated workshop and gotten decent deals on file cabinets ($5 per 4-5 drawer cabinet - about 20 total), blueprint cabinets ($30 per 5 drawer cabinet - found 5 so far) and office desks ($20 for a full-size desks with 5 drawers - have 6).

For metal on a budget, I'd suggest the Seville Classics Ultra HD stuff that Sam's Club sells. It's around $70 for a 24x28x12 cabinet, which is hard to beat without scoring something nice second-hand. They are pretty strong too.
