I'm in the planning stages for an exterior steel stair case to go up to the room over my garage. Does anyone have any recommendations for a tread supplier they have dealt with. There are a lot online, but want to make sure I deal with a reputable one. I would need around 12-15 treads. Thanks

Have you tried your local scrap yards. Mine has had either expanded metal, treads or even full metal staircases every time I've been there. It's too thin for what you're doing but I picked up this stainless steel piece for this step for about $4.

Tripple S steel has stair treads along with stair pans, These stair pans make great steps with about an 80 lb bag of sackcrete for each step. The stair pans come in 36, and up widths. Use the 10" light channel for the sides and they go together quickly. I did include rebar inside each stair tread on all that I have done. They have great traction compared to tread plate and other options.
