Need an opinion on this. Got a phone call from a friend today who worked in a butcher shop the shop closed down they are auctioning everything off tomorrow. He said they have a 6'L x 3'D x 34"H 1/4" steel table with rolled edge on the 6' edge. He said I could buy it for $200.00 before the auction my question is is it worth it? It's painted right now but I could sand blast it. Sorry no pics.

No no stainless top, my friend is sure I cant but it for less then $200.00 but doesn't hurt to make an offer.
That what I thought cost more than that to make.

Stuff like that is hard to put a value on. I've seen SS tables at auctions sell for $20 and seen them go up to $400.

I'd find out who's running the auction and see if you can put in an absentee bid of $175. You might get it for a lot less. (Or, you might not get it all...)

I sell restaurant equipment. I will assume that the table is pretty old when you state that it has paint (on the Legs?). It probably has a 14 guage stainless top due to the fact that it is 36" wide. That is good! most tables today are 30"and 18 guage That 6 extra inches will almost double the price when new. Most likely American made.
Private party price (not for resale) would be around $200 If you want it get it!
We would probably bid around $100 tops at and auction for resale. Prices for Tables like these depend on who's at the auction. Resellers or End Users.
Thanks, Terry
