How much would you pay for an all steel, heavy duty workbench that is 60"L x 30"D x 34"H?

Bench is in solid condition, with some light surface corrosion from being left outside.

Trying to get an idea as to how much a person would pay for 1 (or a dozen:lol:)

depends on how well built (how thick is the top plate (working surface)....

is it on casters?

Just keep in mind how much it would cost you to build something similar..... steel isnt cheap right now

Solid tops, solid legs and crossbars. Commercial quality. No casters (nor would I want them).

Basically, if I was to throw them up on Craigslist for $65-75, would they be a quick sell?

Are you local to ND? I would buy one for that price.

That said, it is hard to judge price with out some prices.

If they had solid steel tops, at least 12ga or thicker, they would go in a heartbeat for $100 apiece.
If just sheet metal, 14 ga or thinner, maybe $50 each.

Bought one at an auction last month - paid $45. 60" x 30" x 36" tall. Haven't really looked but it feels like 14 or 12g steel. Couple of holes and well used, but solid. There were several - the "cleanest" one - surface rust, no holes in top - went for about $75.

I built a few, using 3/8" thick top plate, measuring 4' x 30" x 36" h.

The top plate alone was $125.00. Add about $50.00 for the legs and cross members.

Estimate your labor and materials and I'm guessing a newly built one would be worth about $300.00 IMO.

Yeah I see new ones that size well over $300 and they don't even have a good top have to go $500 for a good steel top. Just got 4'x8' 1/8" diamond plate sheet and had to pay over $150, was pretty much $1/lb.

You say "Solid tops, solid legs and crossbars. Commercial quality. No casters".
How thick is the top plate? A table with a 12Ga. top will sell for a lot less than one with a 3/4" top. This would change the value huge!
Are the legs solid steel 3/4"x3/4" or are they, solid 3"x3"x1/4" tube steel? Again this could change the value by a huge amount.
Type (ie. angle iron, sq. tube, round tube, sq. bar, round bar or flat bar) , exact size (ie. 2x2x1/4"sq.tube, 1"x1/4" flat bar, etc.) & location of the "crossbars" will also help a lot. So would some nice big hi definition pictures!
The more information & the more precise details you give to us, the more accurate appraisals we can give you.

From the information I have so far, my guess would have those tables selling between $45.00 & $600.00

I wouldn't buy a steel table unless it was around $0.10 a pound. It's too much fun building my own. I enjoy scrounging around for cheap steel and building it to fit my exact needs.
