Stepping into the floor covering rabbit hole

New poster here. Thanks to all those who have educated me to the point of confusion on floor coverings!

I have a 1300 square foot shop I am just completing.

It has infloor heat tube installed. I do heating for a living so I have a design calculated based on bare concrete. Unfortunately, my concrete does not look as nice as I wanted it to due to absolutely miserable conditions the day it was poured. The slab has a substantial amount of fine cracking that I would like to cover a portion of with a tile such as Race Deck or something similar.

Does anyone have a R value number for these products so I can plug it into my heatloss software to see what type of performance loss I will incurr verses a bare slab.

Also this shop is devided into a "sissy side" which will be tiled and a working side where welding, fabrication etc. Will take place. Both sides have trench drains that have been set to allow drainage to them. Will this slope (It is slight but visable) exclude a protective tile?
Is there a tile type that accomadates slight grade changes over another?

The whole slab will get a sealer such as Ghost shield regardless of the tile optioned.

What product are you looking at putting on the floor? Epoxy coatings don't affect heat transmission at all, and we have never had an issue with anyone using our www.supratile.com on radiant heated floors where there was any noticeable heat transmission issue.

As for other tiles, you would need to contact the manufacturers.

I don't know about the R value but how about the Free Flow tile by Race Deck? I would think that the open pattern would allow much of the heat to flow through. Just a guess. Race Deck could surely answer your question. CJDave.

Each of the tiles will be slightly different and the R value is relatively negligible . The following results are from TrueLock HD Diamond

I would imagine the least impact would be the open tile such as our HD Ribbed or Free Flow Tiles.

Thanks for the R value info. In my situation, it translates into a 6000 BTUH/hour load increase at a design temperature of -15f if the entire radient floor surface is covered. I suspect that the design software I'm using is exaggerating this based on experience.
I had my eye on the HD Diamond product and am curious as to how well it accomadates slight grade changes such as the slope changes to my shop trench drains.

Hopefully we get doors installed this week, than heat, and finally flooring !
