I like to get a AC current FM radio to go inside of my Snap On KRSC326 cart, mainly on the top lid is what I want to do. I got a new job where I can be clear across the building with no radio. I was thinking of mounting a FM radio on the lid of my cart and running the power to a power strip on my cart.

I know people have done this with MP3/IPODS but I want regular FM radio to listen to while I am working.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do? I am not the electronic gadget savvy and wanted to get so ideas.

$12 at walmart.

Is that a old school one or one with little detachable speakers? I have seen some of the MP3 set ups on the other threads but don't know if they offer a mini or MP3 style FM radio or a dock station with FM radio.

Thankfully Pandora just got rid of their 40hr max cap so its easier to listen to. I have an old Sirius XM CD/FM/AUX/SAT player that a friend gave me and that is plenty loud for my Iphone to play out of.

i use 2 rechargable ihome speakers, and my old samsung captivate. i dumped all the stuff i had on the captivate, only loaded a few music friendly apps, pandora, winamp, etc. stuffed a 4gb sd card in, and filled both the internal and external memory with music from my pc. its rechargable, portable, no commercials, no ads, no wifi required, no network required. downside is i dont have am/fm radio, but i could easily swap one into my speakers, being that they work off a 1/8th headphone plug. oh, and i link the same captivate via bluetooth to the deck in the car.

these aren't my exact ones, but the most current model, and for their size they output quite a nice sound.

I'd be tempted to drop a car stereo into the thing and add an antenna. But then I'm silly like that.

A co-worker is running a car stereo on hit cart with 4" or so speakers off of a 12v Optima battery. He charges it overnight about once a week.

bumping up an old thread, ryobi makes a little radio that fits on their 18v batteries. it's got decent enough am/fm reception, but the killer part is the aux input for phones, mp3 players ect. and for 35 bucks, if you're already using ryobi stuff, its probly one of the cheapest options out there. and super portable to boot!
