Installing my type "B" vent pipe for my Sterling RF-60 garage heater.
Got the hole in the garage wall check!
Thimble fits, and ready to install check!
Trying to test just how the piping will go together before I actually install it from a step ladder. Houston we (I) have a problem.
I cannot get the draft hood connector to slide over the exhaust port on the rear of my heater. From all the online documentation I can find the exhaust port outside diameter on the heater is 4", and the inside diameter of the draft hood connector is 4". So there is not must not be much wiggle room?
Is there a trick to get the draft hood connector to slide on?
I've tried cursing didn't help, thought getting cuts on my fingers from the sharp edge would do it nope!
After I get this done, and power wired to the heater I will call the local the gas man to complete the hookup and verify it's up to code.
