Stevens-Walden Impact Sockets

I while ago I bought set of vintage Steven-Walden 1/2 drive impact sockets off Ebay at a decent price, not so much for their use, but to have something vintage American. (That is, other than my USA Craftsman sockets, which don't yet qualify as, "vintage.")

Does anyone out there know anything about their quality?

Very strong tool they were in business for a very long time but died off when the industries they served died away in areas they were popular and never made the jump to new areas and sales outlets. The sockets you have were the same sockets that were made for Sears and labeled as Craftsman years ago before other vendors took over those also. Notice the oval impact logo that was also on Craftsman sockets a long time ago.

Much like the steel in a Springfield rifle I'd be willing to bet my *** on them. Many a man did !
They were. I almost hate to use this. They were Snap before Snap-On.Best of the best back in the day.Use away. The men that built them would be grinning when they saw that excuse for a vehicle you use them on. ;-)
