Stick built vs prefab garage

I am in the planning stage of building a garage and wonder if anyone has experience with the pre-made garages from Tuff or the like? I am thinking somewhere around a 24x24 and would really like 10' walls and a loft for light storage. Nothing to fancy, and I don't mind finishing it myself down the road, but I don't have the time to build it myself.

So my two goo options are stick build it and just build in the stuff I want from the design phase, or go pre-made and dropped off. I know what I can get custom built, but have no idea what the quality of the pre-made ones is like. I would really appreciate any thought or recommendations for companies, even better if you have any experience with a Louisiana company.

Tuff shed?

Stick built with prefabricated roof trusses is probably most economical assuming you have moderate labor costs around your area. Slab on grade with perimeter grade beam for either way.

Trades involved are concrete foundation, framing, and roofing.

Cheaper than this is probably pole building with gravel floor. You can also add a slab.

I am the Tuff Shed dealer in my area and I can sell you a basic garage for 24/ft installed and painted on your concrete. Does not include permits in that price.

Redhead,

If you want to throw together a quote I would appreciate it. The plan is a 24x24 with 10' ceilings if possible, a large door on one end and a 8' on the other for drive through access between the yard and an alleyway. From you guys I am thinking the Premier Barn Garage, but my wife is thinking one of the Ranch lines (I couldn't tell from the website what the difference in them is so I can't be more specific).

I am a little leery about going this route compared to a stick build, just because I have no experience with the pre-fab process. But I am happy to be shown why your options are preferable.

You would need to get in touch with the local Tuff Shed dealer or go to tuffshed.com to get a quote. Pricing varies around the country. Tuff Shed is a stick built building, just not framed at your location.
