alrite i will get it off next week. what do you guys wax/polish your boxes with
I did one time with car wax.
Easy to wipe off and blow dust in second.
To OP, sticker remove wheel might work, so as WD-40 with elbow grease.
To each they're own I guess. I've just never seen a reason to do so. When I worked in the industry I'd simply blow off my tool cabinet with an air hose at the end of every week. On a very rare occasion I'd simply wet a shop rag with distilled water and wipe off any dusty/dirty film that had build up. Beyond that I never saw the need to polish or wax my tool boxes or chests. Now my tool boxes and chests simply sit in my own garage collecting dust while they store my tools and I couldn't care one bit. My stuff still gets used but not daily anymore
Seems to be a recent anomoly lately hearing of guys obsessions with waxing their boxes and polishing their hand tools, fussing over so much as a finger print on their tools. Not really bashing anyone. I just hear about it on this forum quite a bit and frankly it makes me scratch my head and chuckle a little. I've been using hand tools for over 50 years and while wrenching professionally I never witnesses such an obsession with waxing or polishing of tools or boxes. All the guys I knew were more concerned with using their stuff well to get the job done, and make a living. Most pros in my day respected their tools and invested money in them, but they also reaslized they were
tools meant to actually be handled and to be used.
For me it's always been very simple - My toolbox and tool chest are for organizing and storing my tools. My tools are for repairing and upkeep of everything else, and to get the job done. It's that simple. My tools get treated with respect and used well, wiped off after a job is complete, that's it. It's as simple as that.
