I say YES! You have to personalize your toolbox. It's a rolling piece of art. I've been known to sticker bomb other guy's boxes with **** stickers (rainbows, Jensen, My Little Pony, Daewoo...)

That's awesome... of course it begs the question of exactly why you're walking around with some extra My Little Pony stickers in the first place.

Yes because I don't like to put them on my truck, Jeep, or motorcycle for the most part. So I put all my parts stickers on my boxes and other garage equipment (compressor, drill press, welder etc)

Disco Stu doesn't advertise! Neither does talk radio Charlie. I give my stickers to my kids, then I spend hours pealing them off of my walls, counters, appliances, clothing, the dog's fur, etc.

I have and probably will do it again. All a sticker is is us personalizing the box with our own personality. When I built throttle controls for helicopters during the gulf war I got all kinds of different stickers from suppliers. It was nice to show my support for the war effort.

No stickers on Tool box. I can understand if it's on the inside of a Hutch, I'm planning to hang some Beer poster with female models on my Hutch when I fork up the money to get a Snap On Hutch that is.. lol

Yes, it tells the stories of parts, tools, tires, vehicle makes that have passed through in the past 40 years. Old banged up Craftsman boxes, if it were a new stack of expensive boxes maybe. Tools are for working, Not for polishing.

Same here. It tells a story of my aftermarket purchases and upgrades, or club affiliations. Put in an electric radiator fan in my '87 YJ, stick the flex-a-lite sticker on the tool box. Race my WRX in autocross, stick an SCCA sticker on my tool box. Get a new set of platform pedals for my mt. bike, stick the DMR sticker on the tool box.

I don't consider it advertising since I'm not dragging my tool boxes around in public.

Absolutely. At first they were all over the YJ but I got tired of the look as they faded out and got trail damage, etc. I think they help dress up and add interest to my boring red boxes

I will put magnets on my toolbox, and if I ever get my "LAST" toolbox I might put stickers, but I've upgraded through too many boxes over the past few years.

My beat up Craftsman rolling service cart has stickers on it that came with it when I bought it used...I need to get around to peeling them off...so I can stick more of my own on there! Okay, except for one or two that I actually like a lot, such as the Champion aviation sticker (I miss flying). I keep two hand carry boxes (a Craftsman and a NAPA) on my work bench, they're nothing special so I would have no problem putting stickers on them (currently just have a magnet on the Craftsman). On the other hand, I have a tall Steel Glide roll cab I bought used in mint condition, very nice shiny black cabinet with stainless faced drawers...looks great as is, I don't think I'd add anything to it. And if and when I get the big Lista two-bay I'm lusting after, I'm definitely not putting anything on that. I'm not a box-polisher but if it looks nice as is, I'll leave it that way.

I guess tool boxes can be a bit like cars. My old truck has a few stickers on the back window...my even older (and much more beat up) track car has lots of track-related stickers (Porsche Club of America and Porsche BMW Owners Club stickers, Sebring track map sticker, racing numbers on both doors, etc)...but if I ever get that shiny 993 I've always wanted, I'm not sticking anything on it.

Jensen? **** stickers?? How is Jensen a **** sticker??? I'd love to add a Jensen sticker to my service cart, where did you get yours?

Here is the Jensen Interceptor cabriolet that's been in the shop a few times. I much prefer the coupe myself, but it's still immensely cool.

On most boxes I have stickers under the lids, sides and backs but the top and front are usually left stock.

absolutely, 200% no way shape or form should this be done. in my opinion this is the biggest way to make your box look trashy. I have 1 detroit diesel sticker on my old box but have already peeled everything off the new one. This is the biggest thing I look at in a used box, if its plastered in stickers I won't buy it, PERIOD!!!!!

good thread.

I don't put stickers on my Snappy box at work. I will put some on my roll cart, but I stop there. At home it is another story. I don't mind whoring my Craftsman(former work box) up with stickers.

I think some guys do an awesome job with stickers. All part of the fun. :D

I put stickers on my tool boxes at work and at home. Mainly stickers from different ships I have worked on.

I'm pretty picky about what stickers I put on my boxes though. They really have to have some important meaning to me.

Stickers: You cant trust a mechanic without stickers IMO. Stickers are for rebels punks and people who dont mind trying out new stuff.

No Stickers: Yawn, who cares.

If you did this to mine,I would use a 4 lb ball peen to add a "new" form of art to your toolbox.

Stickers on my toolboxes and my compressor tank. I am proud of the portable Craftsman toolbox my Dad gave me from the sixties that has a "Hijackers" sticker on it. Guess stickers on toolboxes go back a ways.

I can top a lot of this I think haha. Since I am younger and haven't actually come in contact with even 10% of the companies that always send along the stickers. So I wrote to probably 2 dozen companies asking for free stickers and nearly all of them sent me a large envelope filled! I actually spent quite a bit of time laying out the stickers before I put them down. It looks like wallpaper lol.

It's just a personal preference issue. I do not put stickers on my tool boxes (I like the virgin box look :lol_hitti) , but I do put them on my beer fridge and in other spots in and around my garage.
