Inside of lid of first C-man box I bought in 70's is covered in stickers; Jackman Wheels is first sticker that went on it. No stickers on outside of any of the boxes; may try the magnet idea as some have mentioned. Also do not do bumper stickers of any kind; there is one magnetic Masonic sticker on back of each of the vehicles.

I don't like stickers on motorcycle helmets either.
I'm not sure about motorcycle helmets but the manufacturers of hockey helmets specifically state that their warranty is voided should you put stickers on them. There have been cases where the adhesives used for the stickers have caused a chemical reaction that weakened the helmet and caused it to crack on impact. This is EXTREMELY rare but of course the manufacturers are going to use anything they can to avoid a successful law suit against them.

I was the President of a lacrosse club for several years and we had to instruct our coaches to NOT make stickers with our club logo on them and give them to the players to put on their helmets. As a club the last thing we wanted was to get hauled into court for having endorsed this. Again EXTREMELY unlikely there would be a problem ... but that's not the way things work any more.

As for my tool boxes, I used to have a lot of stickers on 2 of them but I decided to remove them. They were a lot easier to put on then they were to take off!

on my old top box I've had for near 20 years, there's a few stickers, Mainly the High Quality snap on foil type. I've also been known to use them to cover a big chip or dent. Although I do prefer to keep it to a minimum. On my MAC Roll cab, I've designated one side as the place to show off where I've been or what I've done, so there are quite a few Motorcycle Rally stickers and tourist bumper stickers on there.

On my double stack when I paint it, it will be a sticker free zone, with the exception of the HD graphics I am going to put on it.

I put stickers all over my tool boxes and cabinet, put old badges and plaques from retired/scrapped equipment, and registration stickers from equipment that's been sold/retired. I don't care about resale value.

Inside the lid only. Just in case some little kids that can barely read decide to step into the garage, the lid can be closed.

When I first started I though stickers belonged on a toolbox. My first box had a number of them, mostly SO and mac. When I got my krl, I wanted a cleaner look. I do have a metal cutout bobcat head on my deep narrow drawer held on by double sided tape. I have a bobcat decal from a skidsteer on the drop front of my kra 62c. To my, one tasefully place sticker looks, good, anything more, it better be a vintage box from the 70's.

Hell no! Nothing on the toolboxes at all. For the toolboxes I like the clean, uncluttered look.

On my cabinets though, that is a different story. Something my son started doing when he was younger and I allowed it, now it is part of the shop and has sentimental meaning to me. Whenever we would get parts the first thing he would do is open the package and look for the decals/stickers and then spend time seeing where they would fit in and look the best.

Mike.

Here you can see the clean tool box yet the stickers on the overhead cabinets.

On my regular box, no. I repainted it black because I wanted it all black. The track box, they're inside the lid. The other ones go on the fridge.

Toolbox no; cabinets yes.

It's kinda nice to look over the stickers and remember the mods done on various projects or where you were or who gave you the sticker.

Stickers may devalue a box to some people but I can strip a whole bunch of them in minutes with a heat gun on low. Gently wipe with 3M adhesive remover - good as new.

I don't do stickers, but I won't judge you if you do. Also, I wouldn't ever have the gall to plaster stickers on somebody else's toolbox.

Was invited to check out some back stock at a local solar dealer. Walked by his tool box plastered with political stickers that didn't agree with my politics and took my business elsewhere.

Yes because I don't like to put them on my truck, Jeep, or motorcycle for the most part. So I put all my parts stickers on my boxes and other garage equipment (compressor, drill press, welder etc)

This.....I even put a Pratt & Whitney sticker over the Honda sticker on my lawnmower. Makes me feel better while cutting the grass.:rocker:

I put them on my older boxes if they have a special meaning - maybe a vintage decal, sticker from a friend's company, a particularly cool part I installed for the first time, or something that looks rare or unique.

I once bought an old craftsman machinist box at an estate sale Just for the vintage decals - one was an 80's Rush tour sticker from a local show. :)

I only run stickers if I'm getting compensated in some way. I hate 'em. Always have. Buddies of mine I high school used to litter the side of their muscle cars. I thought it looked stupid. That carried over into the rest of my life I guess.

I found out my general manager is the **** kissing management type when I put a Buck Ofama sticker on my box. I was told to take it down, lest we offend a customer.

So I put a pinup calendar in it's place, and have heard no complaints.

I used to when I had a craftsman, but I paid too much for my current boxes. Also, I have taken off too many stickers from old boxes that I didn't like anymore or didn't put on there to put more on there now. I might consider it if I found the right sticker, like one big one for something I liked but definitely not bunches plastered all over the box.

I have stickers on my current boxes - Cman's.....but, tomorrow I will be picking up my 79 SO box (that i have been working on for the last month) from the powder coaters and I now have a much higher regard for boxes. I do not think I could bring myself to put stickers on my new to me box. The box is a 1979 model KR-562A. New drawer slides, new lockset, will have new drawer liners and a few new tool organizers.
