I want to apply something to the top of my shed to help the snow to slide off. I am leaning toward car wax. Anyone tried it? Something better?

I don't know if this is safe for your application, but before I used Pam spray ($$$) I would get a gallon of old cooking oil from my fry daddy or something, and apply it with a roller. Not sure if it's such a good idea to apply a lubricant on a roof you might need to get up on, though.

No need to ever get up on it, but at 38' x 100' it would take a fortunes worth of pam to cover it! Not a metal roof, fabric tarp style.
