My buddy recently aquired his uncles 4 bay Matco box, he was a body guy judging by the tools inside. Box is in good shape, but takes both hands and feet to open the drawers. Like I have put my foot against the caster to get better leverage. Doesn't matter if it's a big or small drawer, heavy or light. My guess was dirt/dust, but box is pretty clean for body shop box. Any ideas?

Depending on age of the box, on the slides there is a dial on both left and right sides with 6 being hardest and 1 being easiest. I have mine set on 1 and lubed them with the included Matco grease which is just lithium grease in all honesty. Mine brand new in 2010 was the same way and this was my solution to the problem. Let me know if it works for you.

I own a Matco 3 bay box. The drawers are very stiff. I took the drawers out and found the grease has dried up on the slides and ball bearings. I cleaned mine and sprayed them with spray lube. Really freed them up. I did notice that that plastic bumpers in the rear of the slides had broke and fell off. So it doesn't close softly like it once did. Maybe you can take them apart and get them freed up on your box.

It's a buddy's box, I bought a snap on...lol. Never did love the feel of a Matco box. Didn't like my Mac till it was overloaded. All my friction slides on my old crafstman boxes are nicer than this Matco.

Depending on how bad. I just wipe the slides down, spray some triflow and put some superlube on the ball bearings.
