Are Stihl or Husqvarna gloves any good? I see them and they are pricey, but if any good, I will buy some. I am clearing fence rows handling brush, fire wood and prickers.

My Stihl gloves were very comfortable, so maybe I wore them too much, but it seemed like the leather at the finger tips wore out much sooner than I expected. Just maintaining our two residences' lawns; mowing w/John Deere GT225, and a couple seasons of raking & picking-up leaves &c.

Stihl offers about a dozen different styles of glove. What are you looking for -- just cut resistance for the briar, etc?

Echo's, and I assume the others', are Kevlar reinforced and super comfy.

Briar resistance first, brush handling second. I have been using cheap light ones I got at Home Depot. They are light which is good but when they get a little worn, the prickers come through.

For Briar's I like the suede rawhide ones (some have wrist drawstrings) that you can find everywhere and often at very low prices.
