Still No Notifications for Subscribed Threads - Any Updates?

Hello Ryan and admins,

I am still not receiving any subscribed forum notification emails. I DO get emails when subscribed threads have new posts, but the emails I used to get showing new Forum activity have never returned after the server upgrade.

I have confirmed that I am still subscribed to all of the forums in question.
I have unsubscribed, and then re-subscribed to all of the forums - no change.
I have logged out, flushed the cache, and logged back in several times, to no avail.

Last night, in desperation, I burned Mark Zuckerberg in effigy while reciting the software licensing agreement to Windows 95.
No dice.

I am posting a new thread about this problem to see if there are any updates.

Thanks again for all of your efforts.

Another question, after I click on New Posts, the previous read threads disappear, which makes sense. They used to just show in a different color.

Is there a setting to get that feature back?

Try to unsubscribe then start a fresh with a new subscription. Also check how you have your subscription set.

OK, done. I unsubscribed from all forums, logged out, cleared all cookies, logged back in and re-subscribed. Emails are to be sent daily.

Let's see what happens; usually would receive the emails shortly after 9PM PDT, so we'll see in a little over an hour if it works.

I'll keep you posted on the results.

I don't think so. Ryan didn't seem to interested when I was trying to explain it to him. after all it's his board. 'I have started using "todays posts" if I want to re read a read post .

Worth a try for a start. Otherwise it could be in how you have the notifications set.

I have one last suggestion. If you have WiFi re boot it. If that is not the issue we will will have to ask Admin - Ryan and see if he can advise. It will improve once we move to the new format.

Done. I power cycled the router, no change.

Give my best regards to Ryan.

Hello Ryan and Moderators
I have the same problem . I do not get daily emails on when there is a new post in my subscribed threads . The only one I do get is the Milwaukee thread notification . I have the boxes checked on which threads and I have it listed that I would like daily notifications . Also seems that when I come back to this site all the boxes that I checked are unchecked .
Please help !
Thanks

I'm still trying to figure out what's going on... In the meantime, I've reset your subscriptions... Let me know if you start to get the emails.

Hi Ryan

Okay I have looked at my subscribed threads . I have checked the boxes of the subscribed threads that I am subscribed to under notifications .I have checked that I have requested instant email notifications . But again the only notification that I get sent to my email from my subscribed threads is the Milwaukee thread . Not sure what I am doing wrong . Sorry to be a pain !
Thanks

I have no idea why it would suddenly start working. We are still trying to figure out what’s broken! Strange.

For what it is worth, I am experiencing a very similar issue lately. I have all my subscriptions set for weekly notification. Only one recent subscribed thread sends the weekly updates now. I have tried un-subscribing and re-subscribing to several threads, but still no notifications to those threads. If there is anything that I can do to help troubleshoot the issue, please let me know.

Hell no... I'm now trying to hire someone to fix it while I continue to work on the redesign and move to xenforo.

Sometimes 'taint no fun being the Boss:eyecrazy:
Just FYI I subscribed when I posted earlier and I have received a notification, which wasn't happening before, so I shall unsubscribe from some of my other threads then resubscribe and see what happens.
I will report back here if there is a positive result.

There is no need to unsubscribe from the old threads/posts, they should work fine once the email issue is resolved on the server.

Due to the server misconfig, some of the emails appear to be non-deliverable due to the emails going out from the wrong server, those wont ever be delivered.

Working now?

Unfortunately, still no forum notification emails as of this morning.

To be clear, I am (and always have been) receiving notifications for subscribed threads...it's just the forum notifications that went away.

As always, thanks again Ryan for all of your efforts.

You're subscribed to over 1400 threads alone & from what i seen, every forum on the board, so im not sure how you would differentiate from them?

Simple.

Even though I am subscribed to over 1400 threads, most of those have died a peaceful death. In reality I receive thread notifications from only about 15 or so active threads at any given time. Thread notifications arrive AS SOON AS a thread has a new response, i.e. anytime throughout the day.

Forum notifications, on the other hand, only arrive once a day, right at 9PM PST, and are always grouped together. For some reason, all of the forums I belong to (including GJ) send out their daily forum notifications at 9PM, so if I haven't received any forum activity notices by then I know they are not working (for whatever reason).

PS I may be subscribed to all of them right now; I believe I did that in an effort to determine if the problem was with one forum or all of them. I'll correct that.

I hope that answers your question...
