Still trying to decide between different options

So I've read through a ton of threads and still can't decide. I was originally going to pull the trigger on Racedeck until the wife saw that Swisstrax has more color options. Why oh why does this always have to happen. We built our home 2 years ago and it was the same thing then. Takes forever and then some to make a final decision on anything related to the house! Anyways...

Anyone have suggestions on how to make the decision a little easier? Any installation difficulties I should be aware of to save myself some headache along the way?

It's all about the design and colors of the house being uniform but I totally get why you would be confused. :)

Picking garage floor tile can be a complicated decision. That's why we always recommend that you get samples first. I have worked with the Swisstrax folks for years and they make an outstanding product -- and yes they have a lot of colors.

Which pattern are you looking at?

From Racedeck, I like the snapcarpet option (which SwissTrax does not have).

The with SwissTrax I like this color option:

But of course Racedeck doesn't offer these colors.

Approx 30' wide and 20' deep garage. I have 2 sets of large wardrobe/closets that run along the left and front of the garage (15' along front and same along the side). To the left I have water filtration/softening equipment that takes up about 6ft along the wall.

I would like to use a combination of open grid at the different entrances to trap dirt/sand (kids bring home an ungodly amount of sand from school), carpet in front of the wardrobes leading from the house entry and solid for the majority of it.

I'm working up the layout in sketchup right now to figure out how I want to run the borders/etc.

We have a lot of different open products. Some interlock with other solid products, others do not. It has been my experience that the ribbed tiles are by far the best for many garages. You have 0 chance of buckling with our ribbed product and 1/2" gap at the walls. When you do them wall to wall the whole floor looks clean and stays dry.

I don't have any carpet tile products. I have looked at several and chosen not to sell those.

Hi

Because we manufacture all of our RaceDeck modular flooring right here under one roof in SLC, we can quickly manufacture virtually any custom color garage floor. As for carpet flooring, we have our SnapCarpet that will also interlock with all RaceDeck products, exclusively by RaceDeck.

If brown is what you are after, we do have several options already, like our Expresso Brown which is a rich deep brown . We would be happy to send you a color sample to look over.

really? I'm surprised because I had just emailed this past week asking if there were any other brown colors other than beige. If you do in fact have other colors that are not listed on your site I'd like to see the entire chart.

If these other colors require a high sqft min charge then it probably won't work for my project unless I decide to use it for the back patio.... Which is now an option since we were planning nine on redoing the concrete.

We have manufactured literally 1000's of colors in RaceDeck and do new ones ever week. We generally keep our standard color selection (stocking inventory) based on the top 14-18 colors and keep many other raw material colors on hand for custom runs.

If you are looking for a Darker brown ( we also have beige, and clay) , we are running the first "new stock" colors the middle of next week and we are happy to send you samples. This week we just introduced a new green color " Green Light" , which you can see here https://www.facebook.com/RaceDeck ( having trouble uploading picture attachments?

I would be VERY interested in a green. I asked the same questions as the OP last year and was also told that there was a sqft minimum that I didn't meet for a different color than standard.

That green looks very nice. I will send you my details. Would love to see the brown color samples. Regarding your in stock colors, do you have this available as an image? Just an FYI, I was about to go with a different tile since I was not made aware that you carry additional stock colors that may work for us. Looking forward to seeing these other options.

Not to get off topic but :willy_nil:rocker::thumbup::deathmeta:badteeth:

I had no idea RD was based in SLC, that is a stones throw from me, I actually drive through there twice per week. I wasn't really considering RD for my garage till just now, I like to support local.

Any chance I could come visit the factory, take a tour, hang out?

Anyways

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Is SUPRATILE a good option for garage floors?

We were considering Racedeck for our garage floor, but want to install the tiles this weekend, if possible. We found that we could purchase the brand SUPRATILE without waiting for delivery, and these look good. Hope someone can help us by sharing their experience with SUPRATILE.
