My garage is 24ft 1in x 24 ft 2 in, I have a 15ft 10in 6ft 11in insulated garage door, the ceiling when finished will be about 9 ft 2in high and I got a cement floor, I just bought a 75,000 btu heater, is that too excessive? Does anyone think I will be better off with a 45,000 BTU heater, keeping in mind I live in north dakota

What are you looking to do, temp in verses temp out? 75K Btus is a lot of heat for a space that size.

I went with the larger one even though the 45k would have been enough. I want to bring the temp up quickly. Works great.

Well that was my logic in the beginning, I wanted to have a unit to heat quickly and not work very hard when its 50 below zero outside, also I thought a lot of heat loss would occur with the large door so with a bigger unit, it would take less to get the temp back up
