Stillson spring question

I have recently picked up a lot of Stillson pipe wrenches to clean up for use at work and found a couple of them have a spring broken on them.

I cannot find any information on replacing them or even how to go about it, does anyone have any information, I’d love to save these nice old pieces.

It’s a broken leaf type, I wasn’t sure if it was peened in or what, I could make a new spring, more wanting info on if they were available to buy and the correct way to re assemble.

Sure looks like a drive rivet to me. You can still buy those. McMaster-Carr would be the first place I'd check.
