I saw the flashlight thread but didn't get an answer to what I wanted, figured it would have been covered. Lots of nice flashlights other wise.

Anyone have the polystinger? The stinger is popular and my friend loves his among the millions of other streamlight customers. Leaning more toward the polystinger due to my shop is very cold or very Hot depending on the season, and aluminum isn't the most comfortable when it Hot or cold.

Which charger? AC/DC wall, piggy back...there's like 3 choices.

Sorry if it's rambled hopefully someone can help. I can get both for same price

I have 3 Stingers, one is a Polystinger. The Polystinger feels cheap to me, it's not worth the price IMO. The metal ones are more durable and feel better in the hand.

I use the regular chargers and have two set up.

You have the c4 LED? I've never seen a comparison between the two,.probably due them being almost same light.

I have both the Stinger DS and the Stinger DS LED.
Both rechargable, and both are very excellent flashlights.
I personally like the LED, it is super bright. no bulb to break when u drop it.

I run a couple Ultrastingers with the Terralux LED bulbs. They both go on the AC wall mount chargers every day. I have the DC chargers as well for the work truck but never seem have the need to use them since I switch out the bulbs. They are far better than the old rechargeable Mag lights I used to use.

Look at the regular stinger led they r great just not a switch at the tail cap. There have been issues with the tail cap not working and some have said that the ds is not as bright as the standard led and the polystinger is bright than the standard led I personally prefer the pt2l over the stinger great size and rightness

i carry a stinger ds led everyday it gets dropped, smacked around, and used as a defensive weapon if needed. i love it. its a little large, but a very very good duty light.

i also carry a streamlight protac hl...smaller and brighter but less run time.

Just go with the regular stinger led, you won't be disappointed. Maybe even a strion led that's more compact but as bright as the stinger.i want one so bad but already have three stingers and can't find a way to justify it.

If your a cheapskate like me, check out the 3C ProPolymer. Same/similar C4 LED. Uses alkaline batteries. Down a bit on power (150 lumens vs. 350 and 185 for the Stinger and PolyStinger)

All I have to say is I dont know why I waited this long to buy one! Recommend to anyone.

I have the piggyback charger, I have no wall to mount it too but, there is a plug about 2ft from my cart/box was thinking I could mount the charger to the outside of my Matco cart with mounting tape or Velcro? I don't want to ruin the finish of the cart so I will be able to remove it w/o damage in the future when I upgrade to a bigger box. Thoughts?

I told you that you wouldn't be disappointed, they are tough lights that take a beating. You might want to swap out the end cap button for a regular non button cap, I've had reliability issues with the end button.as for mounting the charger, is there any way you can attach strong magnets to it?

I actually thought about a magnet but was unsure how the electronics of the charger/flashlight batteries would react being that close to a powerful magnet all day long.

Yes Money we'll spent! Love the green too(definitely Won't misplace it.

The Poly Stinger has more candlepower than the Aluminum Stinger. Get the DS, having another switch is quite handy. Stream Light has a lifetime warranty and they are great to work with.
I have the Poly Stinger and have found it to be better than the Aluminum in a couple of areas. You drop the aluminum light and it will get a big scratch and or dent in the aluminum. The finish will wear off, and the Poly has built in anti roll features on the head. You place it on the hood of your car it won't roll off.
A better light all around and comparable in price is the Bayco Night Stick.
