Don't paint with this one but it got a smell like stagnant water? musty? Ran it with the drain closed and sprayed some disinfectant into the air intake, felt it run a while then opened up the drain and left it run while spraying in more disinfectant. Left it run to clean it all out. Seems good to go now.

You must have something like mold that is growing inside the compressor or lines. May require more disassembly and flushing the lines with some cleaner to kill whatever is growing in there. Make sure to flush well after and let it dry out good before putting back together.

My wife says that this is my specialty "Stinky Air"

Put a little something non explosive in there to kill the bugs that are fartin in the compressor and making a stink. A little citrus based cleaner or something, flush and purge. May have to repeat a few times.
