Please move to correct spot in forums if need be (sorry).

I am looking to get an idea what it costs to install stone. Any experience shared is greatly appreciated.

Stone will be along foundation, on interior Fireplace facing. 1 FP is on the end of the bldg where you see the complete 3 sides of stone (forth side shows above roof line). The 2nd FP is between to rooms so only the top is seen outside over a 1 story box next to a 2 story box. FPs go 35 feet into air.

Overall stone facing showing is 1000 sq ft.

The stone (rocks) are supposed to be 4" to 6". However 40% of the load is bigger. This means that more stone would need to be bought or broke w/ sledge. I am trying to take the stone out of this and am INTERESTED IN LABOR ONLY ESTIMATES. From a labor standpoint, the mason will probably still have to chip or cut stones to get a good job.
Thoughts on the labor costs?

Egads74,

Vertical 6.00-8.00 dollars a SQ foot Horizontal 2.50-4.00 a SQ foot. this is a very rough estimation and will depend on where you are located and how far the mason will need to carry and how much chipping needs to be done.
