as the leaves start to change colors and fall down and the temperatures are just right to keep the garage doors open, how are people dealing with keeping blowing leaves out of the garage.

i often leave my garage door open but the problem is leaves get blown in and it is a major pain in the *** getting them all cleaned up. has anyone come up with a clever solution to this problem?

the best i have done so far is lay a 2x10 across the opening...which works fine, but isn't so good for pulling in and out of the garage.

Install a screen. I have seen them advertised around. They keep out unwanted mosquitos in the summer and allow for good air circulation in the summer also.

How about an 800 watt laser with computer aiming? Zap the leaves as they TRY to come in!!!

Me, I kinda live with it, and sweep them out at the end of the 'session' (which is usually about once a week.) I don't vacuum as they often times clog the nozzle of the vacuum.

String some used ping pong table nets across the doorway? Hang them using something stretchy so you can drive over it without any problems.

i was trying to come up with something along these lines...sort of like the little cargo net that comes in some car trunks. elastic top and bottom cord with wide netting strung between.

make sure it isn't too tall so that you can run over it without it catching on any part of the car...see what i can come up with

Some kind of air curtain blowing slightly outwards, bit like the hot air blowers shops sometimes have over their doors in winter to keep the heat in.

Also good for Jehovah Witnesses and Fuller Brush men....

Thought about hanging a clear painter's tarp and cut out windows, then duck tape in some bug screens from those window screen repair kits. :scribbles plans downs onto paper:
