Anybody have any recommendations for plastic storage bins that will not get sticky in a hot attic? I had some of the blue Rubbermaid bins that have all turned into a sticky mess. I would like something plastic and reasonably well sealed for clothes and other household item storage.

I prefer these over Rubbermaid, or the yellow lid/black boxes found at HD and Costco. These don’t leak when left outside, have nice secure latches that open easily, and don’t flex when loaded with tools.

I use them to take tools to off site sales. They stack and stay stacked in the truck

(I had some garden stuff outside in a HD box, the lid filled with water in a rainstorm, and I had 2” of water in the box. ) Never again, no matter the cheap price.

I've had these in the attic through 7 Arizona summers. Still as good as the day I put them up there. I've had great luck with the Rubbermaid Brute and the black and yellow ones they sell at Costco as well.

7 AZ summers is a 10 out 10 rating; borderline leb'm.

As a heads-up, providing it meets your heat requirements, consider a system; a basic/main size, with a half height size, same width and length, interlocking so two stacked are the same profile as the basic unit; a half length size that are the same height as the basic unit such that sitting side by side are the same basic profile; tops by nature won't interlock except with other - best put on top of the stack.

Anyway gives an optionality to the situation.

"round trip totes", those hinged lid plastic bins.
After a very long time some will get a bit brittle but never sticky or greasy. A couple of the ones from GM used to ship auto parts are decades old here and still going strong, some even having been outdoor stored.

The black and yellow bins at Homes Depot are sturdy and ~$8-10 each.
