I have a 20 year old storage building on skids. It has 2- 24'' doors . Today I recovered the doors.With 1''x4'' lumber. It has vert. siding for the doors with 1'' X 4'' around the doors ,with a ''x'' for bracing, on the outside of the sidding. Being in Iowa the snow & rain sets on the ledge of the 1''x4'' and rots them out.. This is the 2nd time I have rebuilt them. Lasts about 10 years. I would like to cover the whole doors with some kind of mat'l. that makes a smooth surface on the doors . Something like the white mat'l . used in car washs. Any ideas, but not to heavy . ????????
