Wow, nice 1st post. Really smart, I hate digging through a deep shelf - therefore your eye level cabinet is narrow and gets deeper for bigger/less used stuff as you go higher. Those are going to look awesome painted too. Nice job!

The main support frame at the celing is a 2x4 ____ on the flat with 2x3 sides [ ] the shelves skeleton is 1x2 pre-drilled and counter-sink for support. OSB for shelves with 1x2 cross supports every 16" - the top cabinet is 28" depth and 40" height, the middle is 20" depth and 30" height - bottom is 16" depth and 26" height. I just added a couple of additional cabinets today to each end above my windows - I will added pictures later. The bypassing doors are 3/8 birch hard plywood and easy to remove from tracks. The tracks were made with a router - straight tip 3/4" width.

This is very similar to what I have been thinking of designing for my 1 car garage. Keep the cabinets up high and maximize the workspace area. Your cabinets look nice.

Updated pictures of the storage cabinets
Paint frame and stained doors
Added (2) 8' T8 lights under the top cabinet for added light above my work bench.
work bench with right base cabinet that has a easy access to put larger items behind the closed doors.(small air compressor/welder/Etc.)
I attached a few pictures of that as well.

Very nice!
You've got a lot of storage in those cabinets.
Was there a reason to choose slideing doors over hinged?

Very nice, I was pretty sold after the 1st post, but seeing them painted and stained, WOW, they look great! I really like the lights under the top one too.

I decided to go with the slide doors to prevent having doors that swinging out at me and on the lower cabinets to keep them from being in the way when other items are in the garage (less space required for opening doos than hinges). It is real easy to just raise up the door(s) and remove them from the track/groove they set in. I also prefer things out of site and not on open shelves, just gives a very well organized look. :)I made a notebook with each cabinet being numbered with all items that will be in there, just in case I forget wher or which cabinet that it is in.

That is a great idea.

For us lazy people we could even use base cabinets on top and then smaller ones going down.

Great now I have to re think my new garage layout. :headscrat
