I work in a prison and the facility is going through some renovations. The supply guys have been tossing some stuff here and there but nothing worth grabbing. I had inquired about this beauty which was in a vacant office on the renovation list a couple of months ago. My co-worker/buddy (Supply Officer) said it was mine when they got to clearing out this section of the prison.
I guess today was my lucky day
. I'm in my office doing some inventory work for one of the departments and in comes my buddy with two of his inmate workers steering a cart with this on top. Happy Friday to me!!!!
It's a really well built/heavy cabinet and must have been donated from the Department of Justice at some point going by the tag. The lock latch was an added necessity for obvious reasons, but I'm not sure about the hole in the one door
. I know that the office it was in was occupied by a Sgt. who retired about a year ago. He had 29 years in the department and said it had been in there since he started.
