Other than used cabinets, I have bought Whirlpool Corporation-"Gladiator" cabinets in the Premier line, welded, powder-coated, sturdy, easy to hang, and reasonably-priced if you can catch them on-sale. I got mine at Sears on a close-out, < $90 apiece for the 30" x 30" x 12" wall-mounts. They also have roll-about floor models, those are pretty-expensive unless you find them on-sale. The Big Box stores carry them too.
I was at HFT yesterday to make-use of my Labor Day 25% coupon, and saw a US General 26" wide top box which looked to be extra-deep, I didn't measure it, but it looked like it would fit near-to full-depth onto a 24" deep cabinet. I think only the lowest drawer was deep, the others were shallow. Instead of those leviathan l-o-n-g boxes, if you have the standard 26" wide boxes that a lot of hobbyists have, this looks like it would be a good item. I checked for a description & think it's a 21-1/2" deep cabinet, which I would say is pretty-good. This I believe is what I saw:

Not wall cabinets, but if you have the 26" wide bottom cabinets, this would make a good top cabinet, w/> usual depth.
Another Gladiator product I have several of is their line of steel shelving, you could make a back, sides and doors if you wanted to, they are very sturdy, and come in different lengths. I like the 77" long ones, for max space, but I've also bought the 60" ones. They are available in different depths, as-in 18" or 24" and I have narrowed the depth of the 24" ones to fit my returns space in my 2 car garage, which worked-out to being a ~14" depth. I use a piece of masonite on-top of the wire shelf to make it easier to load & unload items from the shelf.
Cheapest current price I've found, for the 77" W x 24" deep x 72" H & 2000 lbs per shelf unit:
