Anyone ever use these for storage? Looking for clever mounting to wall ideas etc:

I've used coffee cans for years & still have a bunch of them that are steel. :bounce:

Never did anything fancy to store them, just had them on a shelf. Small ones on top of the larger ones to save space & keep them balanced better. I am getting away from using them because I have so much junk & I like to know what storage can I am after with just a glance. Some of the steel ones I have are ones my Dad used & are probably almost as old as I am. :shocking:

I like the milk crate idea.

My only gripe with those is I can't see what's inside them. I really like the cheap clear shoe box containers you can get for a buck damn near anywhere. Makes it easy to see what I've shoved into em

I use them all the time also. I label them with a black felt marker. I use them for small parts washers also. I have them labeled with Simple Green, Metal Ready, H2O, Carb Cleaner, etc...
They work great for cleaning out paint brushes also...

^^ this, or close to it. I have a yucky vinegar concoction in one that I use to de-rust even yuckier stuff.

I use them for bolt/nut storage for my "extra parts" storage. I also use them for small items to soak in Simple Green for cleaning or Evap-o-rust for derusting. Haven't mounted any anywhere before though.

If they are not too heavy, you can attach the lid to the bottom of a shelf or table with screws, and then just screw the main body onto it.
