Anyone here who has similar or close to these storage design ideas? Planning to do this for my garage. I think it's a nice design for storing the car and truck accessories, equipment, tools, and other stuff in the garage because of the cabinets and shelves.

I don't want to waste lots of storage space. The high spaces may not be the usual place for often-used tools but I think they’re perfect for long-term storage.

I built a set of 'soffit cabinets' (cabinets against ceiling) in my last garage. Loved them. They held so much seldom used materials/tools. A 3' ladder made accessing them quick/easy, tucked under the work bench. I built the cabinets around 5 gallon cat litter buckets, wife has two cats. Stored materials in the buckets, labeled the buckets. Grab step ladder, pull bucket down and set on bench, root through bucket till I find widget, put bucket back.

We need to utilize all the space we have. Overhead is the next logical step. In my last garage I did an open shelf along two walls of the garage. You can store an amazing amount of stuff in over 30ft of shelf 7ft off the ground.
Now I’m stuck in a shed, saddy face emoji.

I feel your pain. We moved this past October. Old house had a 14x20 attached garage. Wasn't huge, but it was packed to the gills with tools and car parts. New house doesn't have a garage. House came with a 8x10 shed. Brought my 8x16 with us (was packed at old house). I jammed my tools/materials into the two sheds and the attic of the house. Has been a headache.

I am in process of building a 30x40 garage now. There is light at the end of the tunnel.

I'm planning on a similar pull out shelf system as in the photos above. Putting them at the end of the stairwell leading upstairs.
Unfortunately, my garage ceiling height is less than 8', so no shelves to store high.
I have two shelves in a corner with a gap between them that I used to stack my string trimmer in. Yard tools slowly grew over the years and it turned into a jungle of a tool pile with things falling all over the floor when I tried to get something from the back of the pile.
So I built this:

Sheet of ply with casters on the bottom and Unistrut track with trolley's at the top.
I can roll the wall to the side if I need to access the shelf behind it.
