After reading the post on truss strength I have a concern about one of my ideas for new garage. I am currentl building a 36x36 detached garage. It will be a spot for our boat and a small workshop, a hangout place for beer and darts and gatherings, it will have a small bathroom....

Across the back know wall I was planning on hanging a 4' wide loft so I can have a bunch of storage and be able to get a lot of stuff out of the house. I was going to mount the back of the loft to the wall andsuooprt the front with 2x4s or something. Problem is see is that rage trusses run across so each suport would hang from the same truss,

Any advice on setting this up

You could use beam on the end to support the loft and possibly posts. The trusses weren't designed to support the extra load.

I'd go with a few posts. I have a 40'x6' loft. I have the entire structure supported by a 2"x10" ledger, a homemade 2"x10" double beam, and 3 4"x6" posts, plus some framing on each end. It was pretty easy to build and it's rock solid. The posts really don't take up much room.
