About 3 years ago my work department moved out of its existing quarters to a whole new facility. We left behind a lot of workbenches built up against the walls, with double-drawer under bench units. While the supervisor looked the other way I was able to snag about 8 drawers, and put them to use in my back room; as 2 stacks of 4. Kinda like Tennsco WBD-1.

Then that old place got subjected to a rehab last year, and I had a chance to run by to get more. Scored 14 more drawers. 2 of those had been beaten up getting thrown onto the scrap pile, so I'm left with total of 12. I've already pulled off the bad units and stacking them together.

I'm thinking of making another 2 stacks of 6 each, but putting them on a castered base so I can move them around & clean Here's the start with a stack of 4, already bolted together.

Maybe, just maybe, I can move some of the entropy out of my garage and give it some order. Perhaps I'll kick myself later, but I'm not gonna take the time to clean & repaint them. Too big a project to delay the resulting organization.

Great score on those cabinets! No sense in letting those go to a landfill or crusher.
I just scored these parts drawer cabinets myself. Saved them from the dumpster.

Has anyone tried to use pedestals from old front loading laundry equipment for storage? I have no place to try them but after seeing them in a pile waiting to be baled gave me the idea.

Got to do it yesterday; only able to salvage 10 complete, due to bad bearings, racked frames & such.

2 stacks of 5, bolted together side to side & swivel casters on the bottom on a piece of plywood.

I scored a set of two very similar drawers when we tossed a spare work bench years ago. Built it into my wood working bench.
