Just though some might be interested in it . The previous owner had a tin kit type shed on this slab and 2 hurricanes ago a tree fell on it and finished it . I have been here 3 years and had a hot tub on it the first year that my oldest daughter talked me out of . I finally got around to doing something with it . The slab is 9X10 . The sidewalk going to it is 52" so a 48" riding mower will fit , in my case a golf cart . The toe boards are treated and bolted to the slab with anchors . It is sided with osb then 15# felt paper then Hardie all the trim is Hardie . It has the perferated eve boards and a ridge vent . I intend to insulate it also as the 30 year shingled roof is black to match the house . It will be painted the same colors as the house and gazeboo. Anyway here ya go .

Nice shed. Good to get garden stuff outta the garage.

But isn't that tree gonna crush the shed when it grows - (or falls!)!?

Yea , i will probably have the tree removed . I lost 10 trees during hurricane Ike and i don't really want to lose any more .

why are the 2x4's pink ? never seen that before...

To identify them as stud grade pine .

9x10 seems kind of small in those pics, but nice job regardless. how much did you end up spending with it all? i'd like to build a shed out back sometime before summer's over with too.

Not going to have a problem with rain water or snow melt flooding that? Looks like it sits below grade a bit. Around here we have to have a 6" drop in the first 10ft of any building.

Great space and built right. Nice job and enjoy your new storage area.

Thanks , this will allow the garage to be all car stuff.

The pictures don't show it , but it has a good run off / slope . We were here during Ike and the water never went over the slab and that was alot of water . I made the toe board from treated just to be safe , but if the water gets in this shed my house will be wet too . I am 4 miles from the gulf of Mexico in particular Galveston bay . Only get snow every 5 years or so and it only stays around for 12 hours or so if that .

Didn't notice you are in Texas. Hard to think about no snow when there is still about 1/2 a foot on the ground here.
Spent about 6 months in Houston/Galveston... Way too hot and humid for me!
