Storage shed interior siding ideas?

I used LP Smartside panels on the outside of my storage shed. I'm in the process of installing fiberglass insulation. Looking at the cost of interior siding, I'm starting to think I may use the same LP Smartside panels on the inside too. Does anyone know if these prices are going up or down? Any other ideas? Thanks.

If it is just that I would just use 7/16 osb for the cheapest solid covering

The shed is 10x14. I'm not using it for storage only. It's also a workshop, etc. I also installed a small window unit. It's hot as heck down here in Texas.

use whatever is cheap , or whatever appeals to you . or something in between. a coat of paint on almost anything makes a big difference

I have used 3/8” non grooved smartside to finish the interior of several sheds. It looks much better than OSB and is primed and ready for paint.

A local lumberyard has what they call "shop siding", they have a sign that it does not meet building code but as a interior finish should not matter, I have used used it successfully but it had blems, but at a much lower cost then premium siding, the siding I used was 5/8" plain rough sawn douglas fir.

Well if your using it as a shop as well then I would use smartsiding. It takes paint and looks much better than osb.

I'd use OSB myself for the inside, that and some paint will be the cheapest option.

I'm working on a 12x14 myself. I will be using 7/16" OSB because it's under $12 per 4'x8' sheet and easily paintable after thick coats of primer. That would be my recommendation.

Also on 16" centers with Knauf insulation (eco R-13).

I've got LP Smartside on mine, too, and it would take a knock on the head to be willing to spend that much money on the same for interior siding. Granted, I haven't completed my interior yet, so maybe I'm an idiot for saying that. But...that's my stance for now.

I had 1/2" OSB in my 16x20 shed. Worked fine.

I'm working on an 8x12 myself. I'm not overwhelmed by the LP material or the T1-11 style material in general. Maybe it's just the grade that big orange carries around here, but it's all flimsy and warped on the shelf, can't imagine what it will do outdoors.

Just returned some stock last night, thought it looked bad when we loaded (ordered a large order online, never looked at it until we were in parking lot) and should have revised my plan right then and there.

The 12x16 I plan to rebuild I want Tongue and Groove. Mine is the Laundry Shed and I also plan to insulate to get it temperature controllable, specifically for winter so pipes don't freeze.

I want TG so it matches the plan for the main house. I wlso wanted to side with Half logs, also to faux match the cabin.

I haven't done a lot of comparison but it appears the tongue and groove OSB is about twice the price as regular OSB. But it's still cheaper than LP Smartside panels. I can see the benefit of tongue and groove. Overall, I guess the total cost difference isn't that much. Thanks for giving me another option.

I used LP Smartside on the interior of my garage. It went up easy and looks nice. If you want to hang anything over about 5 pounds on the wall you had better get a screw into a stud.

I think hardboard paneling is like $10. Could go for a nice brick pattern

I used an inexpensive 1/8" wood paneling on the interior walls of my attached garage. Cheap and easy to put up and available in plenty of colors. It has held up fine for 45 years. Nail it up and forget it.

Interior siding on hold for awhile. Rotator cuff torn in a couple of places plus other damage. Surgery in 2 weeks. I did buy enough insulation today to finish up. The only thing they had was R19. I will do my best to get that up before surgery. Not 100% sure but will probably go with OSB. I'll have plenty of time to think about it.

7/16 OSB has been working just fine for years. In fact, if you remove the stickers (I didn't), it could be down right fancy.

What do you want it to look like? If you want to paint it I would wait for a sale on 1/2 inch plywood. If you want a different look there are all sorts of prefinished and unfinished car siding and other wood and fake wood board products at the box stores. I think it’s more of a cosmetic decision than anything else.
