I had a blank area under my 4x8 welding table and felt that I would like a bit of tool storage in that spot. I searched on FB Marketplace for a couple of days and finally hit on the perfect solution for my needs.
I bought a Husky brand tool chest with ball bearing drawer slides for $80 and proceeded to remove the top and front panel. A vertical flange plate was then fabricated and attached to the box for mounting to the angle steel support underneath the table. A couple of mounting tabs were also added to the rear corners of the box for support.
The box was then supported on a dolly to allow attachment to the welding table at the proper elevation. Holes were drilled, bolts added,

and a new handy tool storage area was born!
